I’m Kathleen West, author of four novels and lifelong Minnesotan. I teach school by weekday and write fiction in the early mornings, on the weekends, and in the summers. I live in Mound with my family, which consists of two kids (one of whom doesn’t live with us because of college), a husband, and three dogs.

I liked having my first two novels featured in People Magazine and scoring starred reviews for Minor Dramas & Other Catastrophes (Kirkus) and Home or Away (Booklist). I tried my best on all the books, and I’m happy to have written them.
